Performing Arts Librarian
Kathy is the performing arts librarian and institute archivist in the Division of Library and Information Resources and a School of Music faculty member. She is also a modern dancer, choreographer, and improviser who for 20 years collaborated with musicians and dancers through improvisation and set material in theater and gallery based live performance events. Kathy holds a BFA in Dance, a MA in Dance and Music, a MLIS, and is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Information Studies at UCLA. Kathy's research investigates the archive as a living and performative space through examining the intersections and relationships between the documentation, representation, and transmission of embodied artistic knowledge and memory and archival practices and theory.
