An alumna of Brown University, Nicole Stark holds degrees in English and American Literature and Afro-American Studies. Her career in nonprofits has included extensive work in educational policy, focusing on national teacher recruitment and professional development issues;
educational media; and advocacy for underrepresented populations.
Ms. Stark comes to CalArts from MIT, where she was a program director for the Office of Engineering Outreach. In addition, she has worked for the Harvard-Smithsonian Annenberg/CPB Channel and the national offices of A Better Chance, Inc. and Recruiting New Teachers, Inc.
