Praise for Steve Erickson

"Daring, haunting, sensual.  Steve Erickson has that rare and luminous gift for reporting back from the nocturnal side of reality." — Thomas Pynchon

"Erickson is a gambler, one of the fabulous mythmakers who are needed in these times of deprivation of the imagination."— Kathy Acker, New York Times Book Review

"As unique and vital and pure a voice as American fiction has produced."— Jonathan Lethem

"Over his entire career Erickson has challenged readers with a fiercely intelligent and surprisingly sensual brand of American surrealism." — Washington Post Book World

"Erickson has an absolute vision that moves fearlessly through time and across geographic boundaries.  The only thing that can justify the author's arrogance is genius, which, truly and fortunately, Erickson has." — Philadelphia Inquirer

"A brilliantly imaginative novelist of the utmost seriousness and grace. All too few contemporary talents are so admirably equipped for the deep lateral exploration of our dire and marvelous era." — William Gibson

"One of the most important writers of his generation.  His conception of the fluidity of time and history and man's place in them is startlingly original, and he writes with the force and vividness of a winter storm. Erickson's work feels like right here, right now.  Against it, most new fiction reads like it was written by stenographers." — Atlanta Journal Constitution

"One of the most brilliant of contemporary novelists.  His work may require a category all its own." — Bomb

"One of the few American writers willing to leave himself open to the truly visionary.  At once a romantic and futurist, he's willing to take risks others aren't." — Brian Evenson, The Believer

"Passion, intelligence, intuition and conviction.  Steve Erickson is a voice from the future of the novel." — Michael Silverblatt, "Bookworm," KCRW

"Among the best of contemporary fiction writers . . . his writing is ambitious and near flawless." — Booklist

"The only authentic American surrealist." — Greil Marcus

"There's no one in the world writing like Steve Erickson." — Susan Salter Reynolds, Los Angeles Times Book Review
