Czarina Martinez is the Interim Director of the Patty Disney Center for Life and Work. When she started working at CalArts in 2012, Czarina held the position of Activities Coordinator in the Student Affairs department for three years before transitioning to Career Services as the Internship Coordinator. She received both her Master of Science degree in Recreational Sport Management and her Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Tourism Management from California State University, Northridge. At CSUN, she was the graduate intern for the student government's Student Productions and Campus Entertainment department where she helped produce campus-wide concerts, comedy shows, lecture series' and other events. Although nothing can truly prepare anyone for CalArts, she utilized her event production experience in planning CalArts' Orientation, Graduation, Halloween Party and Spring Event. Now as a team member in the Center for Life and Work, she enjoys working with students and their professional development.
A few fun facts about Czarina are that she was a member of the College of the Canyons volleyball team in 2001 and when she was a kid, she wanted to be an FBI agent or a stunt car driver.
