Keely Kerr

Keey Kerr is a student affairs professional with a Master’s in Postsecondary Education with a Specialization in Student Affairs from San Diego State University. She holds a certification in Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Behavioral Health. She is also certified in the Art of Inclusive Communication by the National Conflict Resolution Center.  Keely began her student affairs journey as an Academic Mentor in her second year in college.  As a first-generation student, she fell in love with helping other students navigate their college experience! Keely is the assigned academic advisor for the Schools of Film/Video, Critical Studies and the Herb Alpert School of Music.

Her favorite event on campus is the Noon Concert, held in the Main Gallery by the School of Music. It’s a great break in the day to hear a variety of students performing. Her #1 tip for students is to get to know your academic advisor and faculty mentor. They serve unique positions and can both be great resources on campus!
