Madeline Falcone (they/them) is a violinist, violist, producer, and educator interested in building artistic community that challenges conventions. They are a founding member and co-director of Isaura String Quartet and Boss Witch Productions, both based in LA.
As a performer and proponent of experimental and contemporary music, Madeline has collaborated with artists in the US and Europe including Carmina Escobar, Sarah Hennies, Dorian Wood, Charles Gaines, Marc Sabat, David T. Little, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, and Gloria Coates. They can be heard on recordings for film and television, and have performed and recorded with artists including The Eagles, The Temptations, Ariana Grande, Angel Osen, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Deltron 3030, and more.
As a producer and curator, Madeline has recently collaborated with Micaela Tobin; The Broad Museum; REDCAT; CalArts; The Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestras and Fondation Ste Cécile École de Musique; the University of Pennsylvania’s Alice Paul Center for Research on Gender, Sexuality, and Women; Opera Povera; the Gray Center for Arts and Inquiry at the University of Chicago; and the Ojai Music Festival.
Madeline is a faculty member at CalArts in the Music Technology and Digital Arts programs. They have appeared as a violin instructor, guest lecturer, and clinician with organizations including Universität der Künste Berlin, Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestras, and the American Composers’ Forum.
