Kathy is the performing arts librarian and institute archivist in the Division of Library and Information Resources and a School of Music faculty member. She is also a modern dancer, choreographer, and improviser who for 25 years has been collaborating with musicians and dancers through improvisation and set material in theater and gallery based live performance events. Kathy holds a BFA in Dance, a MA in Dance and Music, a MLIS, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Information Studies at UCLA. Kathy's research focuses on intersections between art, artists, and the archives; social justice and archives; and, affect and archives.
Areas: music, dance, and theater research instruction, collection development, and reference; research methods; archives administration, processing, reference, outreach, and instruction.
