Brigette Dunn-Korpela, Boston native is the artistic director of the B. Dunn Movement/Dance and Theatre Company, dance educator, choreographer and performing artist. Her educational credentials include an MFA in choreography from the California Institute of the Arts Sharon Disney Lund School of Dance and a B.A. in dance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Currently, Ms. Dunn is Contemporary Dance faculty at Calart. She is an innovative artist who explores new approaches towards authentic and creative self-expression. Ms. Dunn’s choreographic work have appeared at the MOCA, Bootleg Theater (L.A, CA), Sharon Disney Lund school of dance (Valencia CA), REDCAT (L.A, CA), Miles Memorial Playhouse (Santa Monica, CA),  Multicultural Arts Center Cambridge, (Camb, MA,) Mobius (Boston, MA). Her performance career includes a position as the female dance captain and dancer swing with the 1st National U.S. Tour of Walt Disney’s The Lion King(2001-2010). She was a dancer for the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble (1996-2000) where she has appeared in venues as the Kennedy Center (Washington D.C.), Brooklyn Academy of Music (NY), NJPAC (NJ), Aaron Davis Hall (NY), Guggenheim Museum (NY) and the Gomhouria Theatre of the Cairo Opera House, Egypt to name a few. Her membershipsinclude the Dance Resource Center, International Association of Blacks in Dance, Actor’s Equity Association and Yoga Alliance. Brigette is currently on the Board for the Boston Arts Academy STEAM LAB. Additionally, Ms. Dunn is an experienced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT 200 hours) in the style of Vinyasa yoga.
