Miranda received her BA in Art and Art History from Vanderbilt University in 2010 and her MFA in Art at CalArts in 2014. Some of the themes that run through her visual art practice include food and the body, female gender identity, and the politics of the domestic space. In her work, she explores the world of radical hospitality through social practice, installation, performance and video. Miranda maintains her own private catering company, and she teaches design for the California State Summer School of the Arts each summer. In her free time, you’ll often find her in the kitchen making exorbitant amounts of food, exploring the beaches of Mexico, or taking countless selfies with her perfect dog, Elfie.
