Alexandria Carrion

Alexandria Carrion is an artist and educator based in Los Angeles, California. Alexandria is Technical Faculty and the Director of the Super Shop in the School of Art. She teaches steel fabrication, basic woodworking, and safety seminars. Alexandria's pedagogical guidance extends throughout the entire process of student project designs from concept to final realization.

In conjunction with her dedication to education, Alexandria maintains a studio in Los Angeles, California. She has participated in awarded residencies at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, The Banff Centre, and Arteles Creative Center in Finland. Alexandria has been published in American Craft, Detroit Metro Times, and Real Detroit Weekly. She has participated in exhibits at the National Ornamental Metal Museum, Society of North American Goldsmiths, and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts.

A native Californian, Alexandria received her MFA in Metalsmithing from Cranbrook Academy of Art. She also holds a BFA degree in Sculpture and Metals from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas.
