Cathrin Winsor


Cathrin Winsor is a Project Manager at BRC Imagination Arts, an experience design agency in Burbank, California. Her recent work includes the Hebrew Bible walk through and New Testament Theater at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C. These pieces combine immersive theatrical environments with unconventional video animation, projection mapping, surround audio, and complex special effects into a one-of-a-kind experience.

Prior to this, Cathrin worked on a refresh of “Journey to Mars: Explorers Wanted”, a permanent exhibit at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Titusville, Florida that combines video, scenic elements, theatrical programming, live performance, and interactive kiosks into an engaging and dynamic visitor experience.

In the Los Angeles area, Cathrin has worked with The Blank Theatre as a Production Stage Manager for the annual Young Playwrights Festival.  She has worked as a Development Consultant for the local theatre company The Speakeasy Society, a group known for site-specific immersive performances including “Ebenezer” staged at Golden Road Brewery and “The Johnny Cycle” staged at the American Legion.  Cathrin has also worked as a Production Manager and Associate Producer for the film production company Labcoat Meerkat Productions.

Before moving to Los Angeles, Cathrin worked as freelance manager for various theatre companies in Texas, including: Stage Manager for Capital T Theatre in Austin; Production Stage Manager and Associate Producer for the Tal Lostracco Summer Theatre Camp and Festival in Georgetown; Stage Manager for Milam Community Theatre; Backstage Manager for Unity Theatre in Brenham; and Wardrobe Manager for the Texas Musical Drama in Canyon.

At CalArts, Cathrin teaches Management Technology and courses in Creative Production Management.  Prior to CalArts, she developed and taught a course in Theatre Festival Management for Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and taught Art classes for elementary students as a part of Taylor Academy in Taylor, Texas, an initiative that provided free after school programs for underprivileged children.

Cathrin Winsor is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute. She has a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Design & Production from CalArts in Valencia, California and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
