Linnea Perrero

Though she has worked at California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) since 2005, Linnea Perrero was more recently promoted to the position of Acquisitions & Serials Manager for the CalArts Library. In this role, she oversees the purchase of all acquisitions and materials for the Library, and manages all current subscriptions for print periodicals. Linnea holds a Library Technician AAS from Pueblo Community College in Colorado, a BA in History from Chapman University in California, and a Master’s in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from San Jose State University. She has worked in a variety of information environments over the course of her career, including Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL, Chapman University in Orange, CA and in Miami, at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. Outside of work, Linnea enjoys spending time with her four heeler dogs and hiking in the Angeles National Forest where she lives with her significant other. She is a member of several lineage and heraldry societies, including Daughters of the American Revolution and the National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century. She also belongs to several reading groups, including Santa Clarita Valley (SCV) Progressive Book Club and SCV Ladies Book Club. Linnea especially enjoys traveling and, thus far, has visited Australia, New Zealand, Aruba, Curaçao, Colombia, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Turks and Caicos, the Bahamas, Antigua, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, the Cayman Islands, Belize, Mexico, Canada, England, Spain, Portugal, and Sweden.
