Richard Molina is an architectural designer, educator, and practitioner. He is the founder and principal of ANIMOL – a design and research studio based in Los Angeles. He is also an active member on the boards of Nature Art & Habitat Residency (NAHR) and Association for Women in Architecture & Design (AWA+D).
Since 2018 he has been a faculty member at CalArts for the School of Theater, teaching digital modeling and scenic design seminars. Richard is also an undergraduate and graduate Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Cal Poly Pomona. Previously, he has been an invited critic and taught in both graduate and undergraduate programs at Cal Poly Pomona, CalArts, SCI-Arc, NewSchool of Architecture & Design, and Woodbury University in San Diego.
Richard holds a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from San Jose State University.
