In 1999, after graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, Sean returned to Los Angeles and was featured in numerous commercial campaigns and guest starring spots.  He made notable appearances in JAG as well as in films such as Waist Deep, Dead Man Rising, and in James Cameron's Avatar as Private Fike.

Sean's ongoing stage and repertory work includes performing with Will & Company, a multicultural Shakespearean troupe dedicated to making theater available to underserved communities, and 20 years as touring facilitator for Playfair, a groundbreaking one-person show providing orientation and team building for incoming college freshmen.

Hand- in-hand with theatrical performance, physicality and sport have been lifetime passions for Sean. Beginning with gymnastics training, wrestling, and Muay Thai kickboxing, Sean eventually found his way to the practice of the Afro-Brazilian martial art of Capoeira. He trains and teaches under the guidance of renowned master teacher, Mestre Boneco, co-founder of the international organization, Capoeira Brasil. Sean achieved the rank of brown belt or "Formando” in 2017 and currently works with youth and adults throughout Los Angeles. He has participated in and taught at countless Capoeira seminars and conferences around the world and in addition, is a Certified Personal Trainer and Viking Ninja Steel Mace instructor.

Today, Sean is co-owner and lead coach at CounterBalance, a boutique martial arts, fitness, and movement gym in Eagle Rock, California.
