A native of Los Angeles, Evan Rosenblatt is a Performer, Choreographer, and educator. He graduated with an M.S. in Kinesiology from Cal St. Northridge with an emphasis in Dance Science/Performance Choreography. His dance training includes the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, Ballet West Academy, ADF, The Batsheva Dance Company, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Evan has performed works both locally and nationally, including those by Jerome Robbins, Alex Ketley, Alejandro Cerrudo, Ohad Naharin, Ron DeJesus, Autumn Eckman, Sarah Rudner, Marius Petitpa, Gerald Arpino and Cynthia Young among others. In addition to freelancing as a Dancer/Choreographer, Evan teaches courses in both the Dance and Kinesiology departments at CSU Northridge.
With extensive training in The Franklin Method, Rolfing, Feldenkrais, CI Training, Somatic Experiencing, Yoga and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Evan enjoys working with Dancers in building towards improved body awareness, capacity, and longevity. He is extremely excited to be back working with the talented students and faculty at CalArts.
