Taylor Comen is a freelance stage manager, production manager and producer in Los Angeles.
Born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Taylor moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she earned her BFA at Webster University’s Conservatory of Theatre Arts. As a student with aspirations of managing large scale theatrical productions, she eventually fell in love with opera for its grand scale and challenging production elements.
Working for over a decade as a stage manager at LA Opera and San Francisco Opera, she has collaborated with countless performing and creative artists who’ve inspired her to push logistic boundaries to achieve grand artistic visions. For the next decade, she found the multidisciplinary and fast-paced pursuits of the LA Phil a perfect match for her production management and producing ambitions. There, she helmed countless highly unique concerts at their premiere venues in Los Angeles and throughout the world on tour.
Always curious and adventurous, Taylor enjoys traveling and exploring new ideas, arts, and culture with her husband Sam and two daughters Evan and Alex.
