X Hill

X. Hill is an award-winning costume designer and storyteller. X. uses her talents to create surreal worlds for the stage and screen.

Some of her past projects include Romeo and Juliet (Oregon Shakespeare Festival), The Cymbeline Project (Oregon Shakespeare Festival), The Carolyn Bryant Project (CalArts Center for New Performance; New York Times Critic’s Pick), King Lear (The Wallis), and Concerto for Having Fun with Elvis on Stage (REDCAT).

X. has worked alongside talented designers on shows such as Abbott Elementary, Dear White People, Loki, Grown-ish, The Tomorrow War, and Born a Champion.

She is also a recipient of the NAACP President’s Award and the Young-Howse Theatre Journal Award for Costume Designer of the Year.

X. holds a Master’s of Fine Arts in Costume Design from CalArts, a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design, and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from Eugene Lang Liberal Arts College.
