Nikhil Pai

Nikhil Pai is an LA-based actor, educator, and audition coach. He has worked extensively with Independent Shakespeare Co. for over ten years playing roles including Valentine in The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Lucio in Measure for Measure, George Hastings in She Stoops to Conquer, Arnie in the West Coast premiere of Snow Geese, and Romeo in Romeo and Juliet. He currently serves as the Outreach Committee Chair on the company’s Board of Directors. He also produced and starred as the eponymous role in Richard II for Creative Pulse Company.

He has worked with movement-based theater companies like Critical Mass Group and most recently Theatre Movement Bazaar, playing Khlestakov in Tiny Little Town, a new musical adaptation of Gogol’s The Government Inspector.

He has worked in the immersive performance space with Chamber Shakespeare and frequently with The Speakeasy Society, one of LA’s premier immersive performance companies. With Speakeasy, he’s played Marley in EBENEZER, Knickerbocker in The Hollow, F. Scott Fitzgerald in Wild Party, and Tik Tok in The Kansas Collection, a 10-part series based on Frank L. Baum’s Oz series.

In the land of voice over, he has lent his voice to the award-winning narrative sci-fi podcast Solar, and the upcoming Audible Original sci-fi/fantasy podcast Bloodhound.

He is also active in film and television having had guest spots on Selfie, Fresh off the Boat, Castle, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Code Black, Superstore, Jane the Virgin, Straight Up, Miss Stevens, The Young and the Restless, The Morning Show, Grace and Frankie, and Westworld.

Nikhil received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Master of Fine Arts from California Institute of the Arts.
